Mark the 2 stringers on the top edge where you want the backside of your seatback to line up. Screw the seatback bottom rail on the top edges of the stringers at this mark.
Build the armrest supports from 2×4 lumber. Follow the pattern shown in the image to cut the armrests. Smooth the edges with sandpaper and remove the residues with a damp cloth. Attach the support to the front legs and to the backrest of the chair. Drill pilot holes and insert 2 1/2″ screws to lock the support into place. Leave no gaps between the components and make sure the edges are perfectly aligned. .

You may find it helpful to loosen the bolts in the pivot spacer to make unfolding the assembly easier. Next, attach the seat to the front legs using (2) 1 7/8" bolts, (2) 1/4" washers, and (2) 1/4" nylock nuts. Tighten with a 7/16" wrench and the provided 4mm T-handle hex key. For quicker assembly you can use a drill and a 4mm hex bit instead of the provided hex key. Finally, insert the adirondack pins into the seat of the chair. You can use a soft mallet to tap the pins into place. If you loosened the bolts in the pivot spacer before step 1, go ahead and tighten those at this time. The pattern drawings for this chair were inexpensive and accurate but came without ANY labeling or instructions!!! Once we were able to figure out the assembly, however, it was accurate. We did find it to be very upright, but were able to cut the bottom of the legs at a better slant to give it a more comfortable seated position. For the question -- Do you recommend it? I would have checked off "maybe" if that had been a choice.
Note: the ottoman matches the Adult sized chairs, and may look a bit small next to a King sized chair.
This is another area that could be beefed up with exterior waterproof wood glue at the joints and/or assemble the supports to the legs with 1 or 2 galvanized carriage bolts, washers and nuts.
